Sterling Commercial Roofing

Sterling Commercial Roofing completed the roof restoration of the historic Ogle County Courthouse in Oregon, Illinois in January 2026. The 130-square project included a 7/12 main roof and five towers pitched from 14/12 to 16/12. Scaffold erection began in mid-October and took four weeks while protecting the active public building. Crews removed about 160,000 pounds of slate before installing an Ecostar synthetic slate system. The 170-foot central tower required scaffolding built on the main roof and crane-assisted material handling. Winter conditions required heated storage and pallet warmers to meet manufacturer installation requirements.
