Tecta America is pleased to announce the promotion of Greg Dowdy to operating unit president of Tecta America West Florida in Tampa. 

Greg brings nearly three decades of commercial roofing experience to the role. Raised around his father’s metal fabrication business, he began his roofing career in 1998 as an estimator and project manager in the Tampa market. He later served as chief estimator for a regional contractor’s Florida branches before joining Tecta America West Florida in 2014. Greg became vice president of operations in 2021 and general manager in 2023. 

“What excites me most is the opportunity to do for my team what has been done for me over the years: teach, mentor and model a way to do business, and life, that reflects integrity, truth and a high standard of professionalism,” said Greg. 

“Greg’s experience across estimating, project management and operations, along with his commitment to developing people, has prepared him well for this opportunity,” said Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America. “We’re excited to see the Tampa team continue to grow under his leadership.” 

Outside of work, Greg enjoys traveling with his wife, Shelley, restoring his antique car and motorcycle, and playing guitar on his church worship team.

Tecta America is pleased to announce the promotion of Darrell Howley to operating unit president of Tecta America Lubbock CS. 

Darrell brings more than four decades of roofing industry experience to the role. His career began at age 18 with a basketball game. Darrell and a friend were playing against a young man whose father owned a roofing company more than 100 years old. After the game, he told them they didn’t seem to like losing. They replied that they hadn’t come to lose, and he told them what his family did for a living. They filled out applications and were hired on the spot. 

Darrell started in 1980 as a laborer and hot carrier on built-up roofing and service work. He worked his way up to mop man and then to production lead, running the largest jobs and becoming the one crew member willing to take on single-ply systems, including PVC, EPDM, and modified bitumen. He later started his own companies and eventually sold them to their employees. 

Along the way, Darrell has held roles including laborer, assistant foreman, foreman, supervisor, sales, operations manager, branch manager, and chief executive, before stepping into his new position as operating unit president. 

“I love what I do, and it all excites me,” said Darrell. “I’m looking forward to building up this branch and working with the people who make us a highly functional team. My top priority is growing our relationships with the great business owners of Lubbock.”

Tecta America is pleased to announce that Stephanie Osborn will be joining Empire Roofing – Austin as Operating Unit President, effective October 5. As part of this transition, Steve Jones will move into a Vice President role. 

Stephanie brings more than a decade of experience in the commercial roofing industry. She got her start in Dallas at Merit Roofing, spending a year in the service department learning the fundamentals of the business, before joining Avco Commercial Roofing in Tyler, Texas, as the company’s second employee and an assistant project manager. 

Stephanie advanced steadily through the organization and, in September 2021, was named Vice President of Commercial. At the time, the company was operating at roughly a half-million-dollar deficit; within her first 12 months in the role, she turned the business cash positive and grew revenue from $8 million to $10 million. She went on to become CEO, and during her tenure she helped launch the company’s service department and metal fabrication division, growing both into standalone, profitable operations. 

“We’re excited to welcome Stephanie to the Empire Roofing – Austin team,” said Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America. “Her track record of turning around operations and building strong, engaged teams makes her a great fit to lead Austin into its next chapter.” 

Stephanie has admired Empire Roofing for years, having competed against the brand earlier in her career. “I’ve looked up to Empire as the gold standard of roofing in Texas for about ten years,” she said. “Getting the opportunity to step in and help grow that name is something I never could have imagined for myself.” 

As she steps into her new role, Stephanie plans to grow Empire’s service division through a concierge-style approach to customer service, working closely with the sales and business development teams. She also plans to prioritize company culture. “Life is too short to work somewhere you don’t enjoy being,” she said. “I want to build the kind of organization people want to be a part of — one that people are proud to recommend to their friends.” 

As part of this transition, Steve Jones will move into a Vice President position, continuing to support Empire Roofing’s ongoing growth and success. 

Outside of work, Stephanie is a certified Master Gardener in Texas and enjoys hockey (a Chicago Blackhawks fan), painting, and hiking. She lives with her husband, Logan, and their cat, Nobu.

JP Patti, a Tecta America Company, is pleased to announce that Aaron Pilch has assumed the role of Operating Unit President, following Jim Wisse’s retirement. 

Aaron brings more than 17 years of commercial roofing experience to the role. He began his career in 2008 as a roofing apprentice, gaining hands-on field experience before moving into estimating and project management. Throughout his career, Aaron has continued to expand his expertise across the business, holding roles ranging from estimator and project manager to Senior Estimator at JP Patti. 

After several years with JP Patti, Aaron entered into a partnership with another roofing company, where he gained valuable experience leading operations, developing teams, and managing the day-to-day responsibilities of running a successful company. He has now returned to JP Patti, bringing that leadership experience back to the organization. 

Aaron’s diverse background has given him a unique perspective on every aspect of the business. With experience spanning the field, estimating, project management, and business leadership, Aaron understands the many facets of the commercial roofing industry and is committed to helping employees grow and succeed. As OUP, Aaron’s priorities include listening, learning, strengthening relationships with employees and customers, and continuing to build the systems and processes that support the team’s long-term success.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their three children, Serafina (7), Isadora (4), and Ezekiel (1). Family is at the center of Aaron’s life, and together they enjoy spending time on the water, hiking, and making the most of the outdoors.

After 43 years with JP Patti, a Tecta America Company, Jim Wisse has announced his retirement, capping a career that included more than 20 years as Operating Unit President. 

During his tenure, Jim helped lead the company’s continued growth following its inclusion as one of Tecta America’s original 10 founding companies. 

“I feel very fortunate to have worked for two great companies for my entire career,” shared Jim. “JP Patti has always been very reputable and highly regarded, and Tecta is, unquestionably, the leader in the market. My dad worked 45 years at JP Patti, and knowing our family has contributed to JP’s and Tecta’s success is really something to be proud of.” 

For Jim, this milestone carries a sense of full circle. More than 20 years ago, he succeeded longtime Operating Unit President Charley Volpe in one of Tecta America’s first Operating Unit President succession transitions, and now Aaron Pilch steps into the role Jim has held for two decades. 

“Jim has been an outstanding leader for JP Patti and has played an important role in the company’s success for more than four decades,” said Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America. “We’re grateful for his leadership and wish him all the best as he enters into retirement.” 

In retirement, Jim is looking forward to spending time outdoors, gardening, and traveling with his wife, along with plenty of time with family and grandchildren.

Todd Kaska brings more than 30 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry, including time at Tecta America from 2016 to 2021, managing strategic accounts such as International Paper, Coca-Cola, and Winn-Dixie. He also served as CEO of a roofing contractor in Spartanburg, South Carolina, gaining firsthand experience across sales, operations, and business leadership. 

“Todd brings a wealth of experience in national accounts and service sales,” said Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America. “We’re excited for him to help our teams continue growing service sales across the company.” 

In his new role, Todd will report to Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America, and will focus on building out Tecta America’s national service sales team and training program, working closely with operating units to develop service sales strategy and mentor talent across the company. 

Outside of work, Todd lives in Richardson, Texas and enjoys golf, grilling and smoking meats, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Roof Services – Richmond, a Tecta America Company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Thomas Easter to Operating Unit President.

Thomas brings more than two decades of experience in commercial construction, including 17 years in commercial roofing. After graduating from Virginia Tech, he began his career with a large general contractor before transitioning into commercial roofing. He joined Roof Services in 2012 and has spent the past 14 years helping lead operations and supporting the company’s continued growth. Throughout much of his tenure, Thomas’s responsibilities steadily expanded as he gained experience across nearly every aspect of the business. Working closely alongside outgoing Operating Unit President Joe Vieni, he developed a broad understanding of the company’s operations and played an increasingly important role in its success.

“Joe put together a wonderful team over the last several years, and we’re in a great spot,” said Thomas. “My priority is to keep us moving forward on the path we’re on while, continuing to chase the type of work we want to do and deliver the quality and service our customers expect.”

As part of this planned leadership transition, Joe Vieni will continue serving Roof Services in a Vice President leadership role focused on sales and business development. After 23 years of leading the company as Operating Unit President, Joe will continue strengthening customer relationships, supporting strategic growth, and helping drive the long-term success of the business in a supportive role.

Tecta America Central Florida is pleased to announce the promotion of Tiffany Lebeda to Operating Unit President. Tiffany brings more than 35 years of construction experience, including nearly 17 years with Tecta America Central Florida. She began her construction career shortly after high school, working in general contracting before joining Tecta in 2008 as a Tile Coordinator.

Throughout her career, Tiffany has taken on progressively broader leadership responsibilities while helping drive operational improvements across the business. Known for her process-driven approach, she helped lead Tecta America Central Florida’s transition to paperless operations, supported the company’s early technology initiatives, participated on Tecta America’s ERP committee, and played a key role in implementing tablets and digital workflows for field teams. Her experience has also included managing large-scale projects, leading special initiatives, overseeing operations and production, and serving as Vice President for the past five years.

“I’m excited to build on the strong culture we’ve created and continue recognizing the people who make our success possible,” said Tiffany. “Our field employees are the reason we’re known for quality, and my priority is to continue creating an environment where every employee has the opportunity to grow, succeed, and take pride in the work they do.”

Over the course of her career, Tiffany has helped lead some of Central Florida’s most complex and high-profile roofing projects, developing expertise across a wide range of roofing systems and markets. She believes Tecta America’s commitment to employee training and development is what sets the company apart and has prepared both her and the team for continued success.

After a decades-long career in the roofing industry, Michael Winant has retired as Operating Unit President of Tecta America Central Florida, effective July 1. Tiffany Lebeda has assumed the role of Operating Unit President, while Michael will continue supporting the operating unit through the end of the year, focusing on estimating, project management, and serving as an advisor to the team.

Michael’s path in roofing began at a young age. A third-generation roofer, he grew up working alongside his father and older brother, cleaning up job sites, carrying shingles, and helping wherever he was needed. After graduating from high school, he joined the family business full-time and learned every aspect of the industry, including estimating, sales, operations, management, and financial leadership.

Throughout his career, Michael found the greatest satisfaction in mentoring employees and helping them build successful careers in the roofing industry.

“What has always meant the most to me is mentoring new employees and helping them see the opportunities this industry has to offer,” said Winant. “Roofing has provided an incredible career for my family, and it’s been rewarding to watch others grow, succeed, and build careers of their own.”

Following the retirement of longtime leader Jon Ziebarth, ARS, A Tecta America Company, in Sioux Falls and Watertown, South Dakota, will transition under the leadership of Tecta America Dakotas Operating Unit President Brent Wical.

Over the past several years, Brent and Jon have worked closely together and have seen firsthand how well the ARS and Tecta America Dakotas teams complement one another. The organizations share similar cultures, values, and commitments to customer service, making this a natural next step for ARS and positioning the team for continued success.

The alignment creates opportunities to strengthen both organizations, share best practices, develop future leaders, and pursue growth opportunities throughout South Dakota while maintaining the strong local cultures and customer relationships that have made each business successful.

“Bringing ARS and Tecta America Dakotas together under Brent’s leadership is a natural fit,” said Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer at Tecta America. “His commitment to people and drive for success will support continued growth for both ARS and Dakotas for years to come.”

As part of this transition, Otto Fritz has been promoted to General Manager of the ARS locations. Fritz joined ARS in November 2005 as a Sheet Metal Foreman and has steadily advanced through the organization over the past 20 years, playing a key role in the company’s operations, project execution, and continued growth.

With a strong team in place and opportunities for continued growth ahead, ARS is well-positioned for success in this next chapter under Brent Wical’s leadership and the day-to-day leadership of General Manager Otto Fritz.

After 25 years of leadership and service at ARS, A Tecta America Company, Jon Ziebarth, Operating Unit President, will retire on June 30, 2026.

Jon’s journey in the roofing industry began while he was attending college and working part-time for a residential homebuilder. During that time, he helped build a home for the former owners of ARS (and was invited to take on side work for the company. After graduating, Jon accepted a position as a Project Manager and joined ARS in April 2001.

He quickly became an integral part of the company’s growth and success. In 2012, he acquired the company from its founders, continuing to build on the strong foundation they had established. Five years later, on November 6, 2017, ARS joined the Tecta America family, beginning a new chapter in the company’s history under Jon’s leadership.

Throughout his career, Jon helped guide ARS through significant growth and change while maintaining a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and customer service. During his tenure, the company reached numerous milestones, with each new project and opportunity challenging the team to expand its capabilities and continue raising the bar.

Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America, recognized Jon’s lasting impact on both ARS and the broader organization.

“It has been a true honor to work alongside Jon,” said Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America. “His drive and determination have built a strong foundation for ARS’s continued growth.  I wish Jon the best in his retirement!”
