Anthony Roofing, a Tecta America company, completed a 500,000-square-foot reroof of the Federal Reserve Building in Chicago between May and October 2023 for Executive Construction Inc.
The team removed the existing roof down to the concrete deck. They primed the surface and installed a modified bitumen vapor barrier. Next, they installed polyiso insulation and a ½-inch DensDeck Prime cover board using low-rise foam adhesive. They then installed Derbibase and Derbicolor P-FR-CR using cold-applied systems. The project also included installing new roof drains and providing a 20-year NDL warranty.
The project took place across multiple roof levels in a busy downtown area. The team worked weekends to reduce noise and limit street closures. They used a 300-ton crane to move materials. The team finished the project 1.5 months early with minimal disruption to tenants.
