PVC Re-Roof
Muncie, IN
2024
Blackmore & Buckner
Blackmore & Buckner Roofing completed a 13,000-square-foot re-roofing project for the Muncie Indiana Transit Station Transfer facility in downtown Muncie, Indiana. This project followed a similar project on the main building the previous year. Due to the client’s satisfaction with that work, they chose to work exclusively with our team for this facility. The scope included the full removal of two existing asphalt roof systems down to the concrete deck. A Sika SA-31 self-adhered vapor barrier was installed, followed by a base layer of 1.5” insulation and a ¼” tapered insulation system set in adhesive.. A 60 mil G410 adhered PVC membrane was applied using standard bonding adhesive. The project also involved the removal and disposal of ten saw tooth canopy structures and the fabrication and installation of new metal fascia, scuppers, and counter flashing. Completed between October 2023 and February 2024, the new system is backed by a 20-year warranty, ensuring long-term performance for this critical public transportation hub.
