Modified Bitumen Re-Roof
Evansville, IN

Blackmore & Buckner

Blackmore & Buckner Roofing completed a re-roofing project for the Evansville State Police Post in Evansville, Indiana. This 18,500-square-foot project was completed between April and June 2023 under a job order contract with the Indiana State Police. The scope included cleaning and prepping the existing SBS roofing system, removing all existing flashings, and replacing up to 500 square feet of damaged insulation. The team installed one layer of 2” insulation with 1/8” tapered saddles over the existing roof, secured with mechanical fasteners and plates. The new system featured Elevate (Firestone) SBS Modified Base and Cap sheets, applied in cold process adhesive, along with new SBS flashings at all perimeter walls and roof penetrations. Despite the detailed scope, the project was completed efficiently and within budget, reinforcing the building’s durability and weather resistance.
