When Frederic Julius Andreas (F.J.A.) Christiansen founded the commercial roofing company in 1879, he insisted upon the highest standards of workmanship, service, and quality through a “Results, No Excuses” attitude.  This uncompromising commitment has continued to guide our service to customers throughout the 3-century marks in which we have operated.

Our lineage includes three generations of the Christiansen family (F.J.A., son Fred, and grandson Bob) as well as two generations of the McNamara family. Don McNamara, joined Bob Christiansen as a partner in 1967 and subsequently helped lead Tecta America’s formation; and Don’s son, Rob McNamara, served as FJAC President until March 2020. Don Walter became FJAC President in 2020 after serving as Vice President since 2017. Don has been in the roofing industry for over 15 years with previous experience in the construction industry. Rob McNamara continues to work within Tecta’s vendor relations and assists with operations across the country.
