SYSTEMS

Architectural Sheet Metal

A specialized type of roofing, typically involving steep slopes. Generally used on homes and smaller buildings.

Built up Roof (BUR)

Composed of alternation layers of bitumen and reinforcing fabrics that create a finished membrane.

Coatings

A fluid material applied in the field as a film to the roof surface to provide weather protection to the original roof substrate.

Lightweight Concrete

Concrete of a lower unit weight than that made using gravel or crushed stone aggregate.

Metal Roof

A sheet metal product having an installed weather exposure less than 3 square feet per sheet.

Modified bitumen

Roofing system designed for use on buildings that have a low slope or flat roof.

Single Ply

TPO, EPDM, and PVC the three most common types of single-ply membrane systems and are composed of insulation, a single ply membrane, flashings, and adhesive.

Steep Slope Roofing

A category of roofs that generally includes weatherproof membrane types of roof systems installed on slopes at or less than 3:12.

Tapered Insulation Systems

This helps to reduce or eliminate the amount of ponding/standing water on the membrane when the existing roof deck does not provide adequate slope.

Waterproofing

The treatment of a surface or structure to prevent the passage of water under hydrostatic pressure.
