ABOUT THE HART SENATE OFFICE BUILDING

The Hart Senate Office Building is the third office structure designed and built to serve the United States Senate.

PROJECT DETAILS

This project included the removal of the existing Built-Up roof system and replacement with a new hot rubberized asphalt system, and the replacement of 180 skylights.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

The project took place on the existing and operational Senate Office Building.  Close coordination with General Contractor, Architect of the Capitol, associated governing agencies.  Tear-off was accomplished with a separate night crew due to noise/ accessibility.  Substantial weekend and overtime requirement to accomplish scope within the allotted timeframe and coordinate with Senate schedule.
