The Nutro Company

PROJECT DETAILS

This project started with removing an old ballasted EPDM roof and hauling off the old ballast to be
recycled. We then adhered a 3.25″ Polyiso with Olybond. We then installed an 80mil GAF TPO roof
set in their water based bonding adhesive. What made this roof unique was 58 sloped pyramids
throughout the roof, each nearly 7 feet tall. We had to glue and weld both on flat roof areas and
areas that transitioned into a 6:12 slope.

Special Considerations

We were able to complete the tear off and installation without interrupting the production in the
pet food manufacturing plant below. We also made the decision to load the job in late fall with our
TPO membrane and accessories to beat price increases, and then came back in the spring when the
weather was warmer to begin the physical production. This allowed us to use water-based adhesive
to avoid extra odor in the plant.
