Tecta America Kentucky LLC, a division of Tecta America, chose SFS intec's isofast® for their Main Street Realty Tract 4 project, located in Shepherdsville, KY. SFS intec District Manager Jerry Justice, worked with the Tecta team to ensure that #15 x 4" belted Dekfast™ fasteners, insulation plates, seam plates and isofast® tools were delivered in advance of job start-up.
The scope of the project was to install 6,000 roofing squares of insulation and Firestone UltraPly™ TPO 60 mil membrane. Firestone Building Products ordered 159,000 fasteners, 99,750 insulation plates and 63,500 seam plates for this project.
Start-up for isofast® occurred on Friday October 18 with Jerry Justice and SFS intec District Manager Harley Coleman on site to train the Tecta employees, to use eight isofast® IF160 tools (4 insulation and 4 seam). The productivity goal for the day was to install 300 roofing squares of insulation and membrane. Success was achieved early as four roofers mastered insulation attachment with isofast®. Feedback from the crew was that normally eight to ten crew members would install insulation. With isofast®, the crew size was reduced to only four!
Tom Miller, president of Tecta America Kentucky visited the job site and learned that project manager Steve Golab and his crew exceeded the day's goal by installing 312 roofing squares. At the end of one day securing insulation and membrane, Anthony Bryant, superintendent, said, "Not only are we faster using the tools, but my guys can stand up straight leaving the job. And their backs are not killing them."

Tecta America Kentucky is excited to announce the addition of infrared roof scanning to our list of capabilities. The ability to perform these scans will be a great service for our roofing and roof maintenance customers throughout the Louisville and Lexington areas. Infrared moisture surveys offer a non-destructive way to determine potential moisture levels within a roof assembly.
Tecta America Kentucky opened in 2005 and has rapidly expanded to employ multiple roofing, sheet metal, and service crews while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service. In 2010, we expanded our operations into two neighboring office and warehouse spaces. The additional space allowed for expanded service offerings in all departments and created room for continued growth.
We have worked on major commercial roofing projects across all of Kentucky, southern Indiana, and Ohio.
