How TectaDaylight works.Daylighting devices added to your roof use direct, diffused or reflected sunlight to provide lighting to the interior space of a building, thereby replacing or supplementing the electric light source. Daylighting systems can be integrated with sensors to further control the electric lighting and increase energy savings.
Light is collected above the roof through a clear dome. This dome shape allows for the device to catch sunlight from many angles and in any season. Light is then channeled down a highly reflective tube with UV rays removed by filters near the surface of the dome. At the end of the tube, a light diffuser is in place to create a steady path of light without the glare and "hot spots" skylights and windows can create at times. GreenWise |
