CEI Roofing Texas, a Tecta America Co., LLC

CEI Roofing was founded in 1981 and joined Tecta America in 2005. Serving the greater Dallas and Austin areas, we have over three decades of construction experience working with building owners, property managers and facility engineers throughout the Southern United States. We are proud to have performed a variety of roof installations in the area, including Carver-Hawkeye Arena and Tyler Pounds Field Airport.

Byron Warnick, President
After being honorably discharged from the armed services, Byron entered the trades through the apprentice program. While serving his apprenticeship, he attended four (4) years of trade school and has since worked for CEI Roofing for the past 25 years, holding several positions. Some of these positions include, roofing foreman, operations manager, sales and estimating manager, and now his current position as president. His wife, Laura, teaches special reading to 4th thru 6th graders; his daughter, Rachelle, is a Texas A&M graduate and is a real estate agent in Hawaii; his son, Sam, is a University of North Texas graduate, and is working for CEI as a roofing & sheet metal estimator. Byron’s hobbies are family, work, and motorcycles.

Bob Truscott, Field Operations Manager
Bob Truscott has been an employee of CEI Roofing since 1983 (23 Years). Bob has worked his way up through field operations to his current position as Field Operations Manager. Bob’s ‘whatever it takes’ attitude pushes the field to strive for excellence.

Rick Coulter, Project Manager – Company Secretary
Ricky Coulter is a second generation roofing contractor and has been employed full time for more than 35 years in the roofing industry since 1971. He began his career working as a clean-up man on shingle tear offs and has worked as a shingle installer; hot roofer; foreman; superintendent; estimator and project manager and ran his own company for ten years. Ricky has been with CEI since February 1991 and as served as Service manager 1991 to 1996; Estimator and project manager 1996 to 2001; Service manager 2001 to 2002; Special projects manager 2002 to 2004; Senior project manager 2004 to 2006; Company Secretary 2006 to present. Ricky’s current duties include contract approvals, contract changes and acting as project manager for select clients. His biggest strengths are the ability to work with owners, consultants and general contractors in a manner that achieves good results for all and as a member of the management team is flexible enough to handle multiple roles for the company.

Ken Fike, Chief Estimator
Married with two children ages 14 and 17. Originally from Waunakee, WI, moved to Texas in 1985. Began working in construction in 1981 and has worked in all phases of construction from laborer to superintendent to estimator.

Jim Renard,Treasurer/Controller
Jim has 17+ years of diversified accounting and management experience in the manufacturing, service and construction industries. Prior to joining CEI Roofing – Texas in February 2006, Jim was the CFO of VIP Holding, Inc., a small privately held $20 million manufacturing company that designs and produces fabric stack sample books for the upholstery and drapery industries along with fabric sample cards and binders for commercial applications.

From 1998 through 2004, Jim was an Assistant Controller for Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), a $5 billion service company that provides business process and information technology outsourcing solutions to commercial and government clients worldwide. Prior to ACS, Jim worked 9 years for ConAgra, Inc. in 4 accounting positions for their subsidiaries - Arrow Industries and Armour-Swift Eckrich.

Jim graduated from Pittsburg State University, with Bachelors in Accounting in 1987 and his Masters degree in Accounting in 1989. Jim also passed the CPA exam in 1998 and is currently a licensed CPA with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
