As of March 1, 2010, we have changed our name to Tecta America Southern California Inc.  As part of the Tecta America family of companies for eight years, our name change better reflects that structure.  This rebranding signifies our commitment to providing exceptional value through our innovative solutions, backed by our financial strength and depth of resources.  While our name has changed, our local management team and its commitment to you remains the same.  By adopting Tecta America as our lead brand, we are better able to serve your needs while leveraging our long-standing position as the nation's leading commercial roofing contractor.  We thank you for your commitment to our services in the past, and welcome the opportunity to serve you in the future under our new name.

Tecta America Southern California (f/k/a Lavey Roofing Services) was originally founded in 1981 as William H Lavey & Associates, then became Lavey Roofing Services. Bill Lavey, the original founder, came from a 100-year old family tradition specializing in commercial roofing, custom sheet metal and historic renovation.

Lavey Roofing Services was acquired by Tecta America in 2002, and today continues that same reputation for high quality roofing installations in Southern California.

16 years experience working in both private practice and industry, specializing in manufacturing and construction fields

Rex Souders, Operations Manager
23 years experience in the roofing industry. Personal experience includes installation, production superintendent, sales and project management.

Frank Downing, Superintendent
26 years experience in the roofing industry, 18 years in the field, 14 years as foreman and 2 years as production superintendent.

Dean Sandven, Sheet Metal Division Manager
34 years experience in the roofing industry. Former Regional Manager for Centimark Corporation and former Division Manager for Bryant Organization.

Ken Laos, Project Manager
18 years experience in the roofing industry. Served as sales manager and project manager in the new construction and residential roofing arenas.

Jack Power, Project Manager
23 years experience in the roofing industry. Former regional sales manager for the Centimark Corporation.

Jeff Lim, Senior Estimator
26 years in the roofing industry as chief estimator and project manager.

Eric Langston, Estimator
Over 24 years roofing experience with 3 years in the estimating field.

Randy Russell, Sheet Metal Estimator/Project Manager
34 years experience in the metal roofing industry. Experience includes: design, fabrication, production superintendent, sales and project manager.

Stephen McGarry, Sheet Metal Estimator/Project Manager
22 years experience in the sheet metal and roofing industries. General and roofing sheet metal estimation, sheet metal shop and field superintendent background.

Darin Fraser, Service Manager
19 years experience with three of the largest roofing contractors in North America. Seven years experience managing service departments. Specializing in alterations and leak solving on all roof systems.

Bruce Thompson, Project Manager
32 years experience in the metal roofing and siding industry. Experience includes: fabrication, installation, sales and project management.
