Tecta America Colorado and the same JEFFCO Solar team were asked to install an additional 1.6 MW of solar on 10 of the existing schools and facilities from the original PPA Contract. Once again, TA Colorado is taking the lead on the construction and building of the engineered systems - racking, securing and ballasting the racks and installing the PV panels.
Dec. 2011 - University Center for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) contracted TA Colorado to replace the roof system on one of their facilities in Boulder, CO. In conjunction, TAC teamed with Golden Power Partners and was awarded the installation of 100 kw of solar on the building under a PPA contract. The entire project from re-roof to commissioning of the solar was completed in 3 months.
January 1, 2012 - Tecta America Colorado earned Firestone Master Contractor status. This award is given annually to the top 250 Firestone contractors. TA Colorado also partnered with Johns Manville to earn "Summit Contractor" status in 2011.
Dec 2011 - Sondra Lankston completed her 1-year term with BOMA Denver as the "Allied Chair". Sondra remains active with BOMA, sitting on multiple committees and boards.
Feb. 2012 - Tecta America Colorado was awarded the roofing and sheet metal contract at the new Ft. Carson EAB TEMF facility. This is the 15th TEMF facility that will be completed between the team of TA Colorado and Mortenson Construction.
2012 - John Cook is in the third and final year of the NRCA's Future Executive Institute. The FEI-5 class will graduate at the 2013 IRE.
Tecta America Colorado was founded in 1977 and became part of Tecta America in 2005. Today we number more than 100 employees, serving Colorado and the surrounding states for over 30 years. We have performed several high-profile installations including a LEED project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the green roof on Palmer Ridge High School.
2011 - Participated and completed in the construction of 3 MW of solar installations on 30 different school sites for Jefferson County School District 2010 PPA Contract - this challenging project was completed on time and on schedule for commissioning and rebates.
Dec. 2011 - TA Colorado completed the installation of roofing, sheet metal, ACM metal wall panels at the Metro State Student Success Building, Denver, CO. The installation included multiple roof systems - TPO, fluid applied water proofing, 10,000 of Green Roofing - Sedum Mat; Metal roofing, wall panels, soffit, ACM panels.
2011 - TA Colorado replaced the roofing and waterproofing at the US Mint Denver, CO. This logistically challenging contract totaled $950k+ and required employee clearances, and daily coordination with the security at the facility and it's production / deliveries.
John D. Cook, President
Graduated in 1996 from the University of Colorado with a BS in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. While in college, John began working part time at Tecta America Colorado LLC (formerly CEI Roofing) and then joined full time in January 1997 as an estimator. In January 2000 John transferred to the Dallas, TX office as the Senior Estimator Project Manager, working in Dallas for two (2) years. John returned to the Denver office in January 2002. In total, John has been with the company for 16 years.

Central Plains Regional Controller Graduate Regis University – B.S., Professional Accounting, 14 years of experience in finance and accounting, 17 years experience in construction. 5 years Accounting Manager at CEI Roofing/Tecta America. Controller of Tecta America Colorado/Sacramento CA operations since May of 2004.
Tim Hubka, Sr. Account Executive
25+ years experience in the Denver roofing market. Tim has held a variety of positions and has extensive knowledge in all phases of roofing. Experienced estimator, project manager, preventative maintenance and portfolio budget management.
David Cooke, Service Manger
25 years experience in the roofing industry. Experienced in all phases of roof estimating and project and service department management.
David Stubbs, Senior Project Manager
20 years of architectural sheet metal experience with an extensive variety of applications. 16 years as a field foreman and 3 years as Sheet Metal Project Manager, current Sr. Project Manager. Employed with CEI Roofing/Tecta America for 10+ years.
Matt DiVincentis, Project Manager
11 years of construction experience; 5 years in roofing project management with focus on project, contract, and change administration; and 6 years experience in architectural and structural metal fabrication. AutoCAD Certified Professional.
Richard Bass, Director of Sales and Operations
27 years experience in the Roofing and Construction, 10 years of field management experience as Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and Field Operations Manager. 16 Years of Sales and Estimating Experience, as an Estimator, Senior Estimator, Sales and Estimating Manager, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Vice President of Business Development.
Richard E. Sealey, Sr. Estimator
Has been in the roofing industry for the past 26 years. Richard began his roofing career on the roof and worked his way up through the ranks to estimator. He served as Estimating Manager in the industry for more ten years before he joined the Service Department as Service Manager in October of 1998. Richard has also served as president of the CRA (Colorado Roofing Association).
Sondra Lankston, Business Development/Tecta ES
Graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in business and marketing from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Sondra was hired as the Service Coordinator for the Service Department in 1992. In 2005 she was promoted into the business development and marketing roles . Sondra is currently involved with the local Denver Chapter of BOMA - 2011 Allied Chair, 2012 Chairperson of the "Lunch and Learn" Programs Committee, the Denver Chapter of IFMA and the Colorado State Chapter of the USGBC working on many committees in each association. Sondra also assists on the Tecta ES committee, promoting Tecta’s environmental solutions in Colorado.
