Tecta America Zero Company LLC, a commercial roofing contractor, started its journey in 1929 in Cincinnati, OH as “The Zero Company”  and joined Tecta America in 2002.  We provide all types of commercial and residential roofing, architectural sheet metal and environmental solution services.

 

Our local philosophy is simple:

In 2013 we opened a full service office in Dayton, OH  and in 2016 we acquired MB Roofing, (now Tecta America Columbus), in Columbus, OH. Both of these moves help us better fulfill our clients’ needs and achieve our local objectives.

 

Tecta America Corporation has grown to over 50 locations nationwide becoming one of the largest roofing contractors in the United States and is an approved applicator of GAF, Johns Manville, Carlisle, and Firestone and all other major manufacturers roofing material.

COMPANY LEADERSHIP

Jonathan Wolf
President

Jonathan has been in the roofing industry since 1992 and has a BSBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He has experience in sales, estimating, and production on a wide range of project types including re-roofing, new construction service and maintenance. Jonathan has managed a vast range of projects including private and public schools, municipal facilities, federal facilities, universities and colleges, private industry as well as residential structures. He is familiar with all major manufacturers and all types of roofing including single-ply, modified bitumen, asphalt built-up, standing seam metal, green roofing, solar, shingles, tile, slate and more. Jonathan has managed projects up to $6.0 million in value and is an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) CEO Committee Member and former Board of Directors Member. Jonathan is OSHA 30 certified and is the Qualifying Party for our Illinois Roofing License.

Jim Stark
Sr. Vice President

Jim has been in the roofing industry since 1986. He started his career as a sheet metal mechanic and has since been a superintendent, project manager, and president of a roofing company in Nashville TN. He then joined Tecta America Zero Company in January of 2004. He is responsible for the overall supervision and management of the operations within our Cincinnati and Dayton office locations. He has worked on and managed a wide range of projects including: small repairs, large new construction, and re-roofing projects such as public schools, federal buildings, and private work.

Jim Haitz
Regional Safety Manager

James has been in the industry for 30 years and with Tecta for 16 of those years. He has an Associate Degree in Occupational Safety and Health. He is someone who always seeks out any additional training to make our job sites more manageable, efficient and safe. He has specific training/and or certification in the following areas: OSHA 500, First Aid/CPR, Certa Torch instructor, Lift trainer, Asbestos Awareness trained, RRP trained (lead), BBS trained, Rigging and Signal trainer.

CINCINNATI

Matt Gennett
Vice President/Senior Project Manager

Matt graduated from the Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio with a Bachelors of Applied Science. He has been in the construction industry since 1994 and with Tecta since 2006. He is responsible for managing all Commercial Construction in our Cincinnati office. Matt has experience with Latista, BIM 360, and FTP sites; and is knowledgeable in Green Roofing, Single-Ply, Steep Slope, Modified Bitumen, Architectural Sheet Metal, and has experience with most major roofing manufacturers. Matt is fluent in Spanish which can be very useful when dealing with our Hispanic employees, in addition, he can also communicate efficiently with other Spanish speaking contractors that might be on a job site. He is OSHA 30/CPR/First AID certified.

Sherri Hausman
Service and Maintenance Manager

Sherri has been in the roofing industry for 7 years, with Tecta. She runs our service department where she handles all incoming service tickets, manages and schedules crews, billing, and customer service. Sherri is OSHA 10 certified and has an Associate Degree in Visual Merchandising, obtained from Antonelli Art Institute in Cincinnati Ohio.

Jennifer Keiser
Safety Director

Jennifer has over 4 years of experience in the construction industry. Safety has always been a passion for her as she has gained experience while overseeing sub-contractors on million dollar projects, and worked as the safety coordinator for Mid-America OSHA. She is currently working on her Bachelors in Occupational Safety & Health, and has received various training from Mid-America OSHA Education Center. Jennifer is also working on her Safety Professional Certificate Program in Construction.

Mike Duenhoft
Superintendent

Mike has been a superintendent with Tecta for 32 years, with 40 years of service in the industry. Mike is experienced in all phases of BUR Modified, and has experience in many roofing systems including Green Roofing, Single-Ply, Steep Slope, Modified Bitumen, and Architectural Sheet Metal. Mike also has vast knowledge of most major roofing manufacturers like Firestone, Carlisle, John Manville, and Garland. He has managed various size projects including a number of tire discounters, federal jobs, and new construction buildings.

Israel Reyes
Superintendent

Israel has been in the roofing industry for 15 years. He started as a foreman with Tecta in 2007 and in 2012 he was promoted to Superintendent. Israel has OSHA 30, Lift and Torch training, he is also First Aid/CPR certified. Israel has experience in many roofing systems including Green Roofing, Single-Ply, Steep Slope, Modified Bitumen, Architectural Sheet Metal, and has experience with most major roofing manufacturers like Firestone, Carlisle, John Manville, and Garland. He is bilingual which has proven to be a huge asset for our company when managing a mostly Hispanic crew. He has managed a wide range of projects from small residential to million dollar new roofs.
